Sport Guidance Ltd was established in 2001 and has been trading successfully ever since. The company provides services to Sports Clubs, R.S.T's, N.S.O's, Community Organisations, Corporates and Local Government on new initiatives, strategic planning, joint ventures, recreation and event management and change management strategies.

Peter Burley (M.A. Applied) Director Sport Guidance Ltd has a history of involvement in sport and leisure delivery spanning 25 years and including roles in local government as a Senior Sport and Recreation Adviser, Parks and Recreation Manager, and Sport Facility Manager (QEII Park CHCH).

As a senior academic staff member in the CPIT Business School he teaches Leadership, Management and Event Management having in the past set up a number of tertiary education courses notably the Diploma in Applied Recreation, CircoArts and the Graduate Diploma in Event Management.

Peter's specialties include sport club strategic and governance planning, sport club amalgamation, health and safety plan development, risk assessment, community recreation research, recreation management, sport and recreation facility development and use, sport event concept planning. Peter is respected for his wide ranging knowledge within the sport and recreation industry and his ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of people in change and development processes.
